Experience Immersive Theater With Clue Live And Solve A Murder Experience Immersive Theater With Clue Live And Solve A Murder

After so much time in lock down, we were ready to experience some theater. Not just any kind of theater but immersive theater. Needless to say, I was incredibly excited to join Clue Live, based off the beloved family board game, taking place at LA’s Westfield Century City Mall.

My husband Kevin gets the rundown on the game rules with our fellow detectives.

Clue Live comes to life with live actors — who we’d get to interrogate for some answers. I had no doubt this case would be solved with Kevin on the case. This is where Kevin shines bright. If he didn’t go into marketing he’d make the perfect private investigator with all his question asking skills!

Our game card to keep track of the clues.

But wait, there is a catch! As a group, we get to ask 3 questions total for each actor. Uh oh! Our group better think fast, or be okay with Kevin running this investigation. Just saying!

Experience Immersive Theater With Clue Live

We are ready for Clue Live.

What is Clue Live? And what should we expect on this immersive theater experience?

Introducing Professor Plumb, part of Clue Live, an immersive theater experience.

The entire experience takes about 90 minutes total, and goes by so quickly. Shortly after checking in, we were greeted by Mr. Butler, who would serve as our guide through the Clue Live immersive theater experience. Each of the rooms in Tudor Mansion are recreated throughout the mall — including the Hall, the Billiard Room, the Dining Room, the Library, the Kitchen, the Study and the Conservatory.

Energetic Mr. Green couldn’t have done it, could he?

My favorite part? Following Mr. Butler around the mall as we navigated secret passages and stepped over imaginary booby traps. I slid along the “deadly cliff” (i.e. the window of a women’s clothing store) and ducked under pipes (that didn’t exist). All of the shoppers at the Westfield Mall seemed to enjoy it. In fact, one even called out to me, “Do you realize that you’re the only person following along?” Let’s just say, Kevin refused to do it and the group followed along. Oh well, the story of my life.

You’ll need to listen closely and read between the lines. None of the actors will lie. They just might not tell the full story. That’s where you need to keep track of the facts and separate it from fiction.

So did we solve it? You better believe it. And if your sharp detective brain is hungry for more, there are three versions of the show for an opportunity to come back and solve it again and again.

Clue Live makes a fantastic family activity or a unique fun date night out. Best of all? You’ll feel a sense of accomplishment by (hopefully) solving your case. Afterwards, you can celebrate with dinner. We headed to Eataly’s rooftop bar Terra and loved it.
